The B&B A PANKEO’ is situated in Crépin, village that evoke an ancient charm.
The old wooden buildings (“grandze” and “grené”), the stone houses and the narrow streets enable to breathe once again the old-fashioned ambience in which the past fixed its mark in an indelible way.
The little church consacrated to Saint Crispino and Crispiniano has been built in 1882 and there some interesting frescos are preserved.
Situated at 1 km from the centre of Valtournenche and at 5 minutes on foot from Cime Bianche lifts (connected to Breuil Cervinia and Zermatt), the B&B A Pankeò, during the summer, is the starting point for many excursions and trekking, and a place stage on the Tour du Mont Cervin and on the Aosta Valley High Route (Alta Via) n°1 and n°3.
Crépin has been the birthplace of some of the most famous Cervino’s alpine guides.
Some of the villagers, leaving from Crépin, brought on Cervino’s summit the present cross, passing through “Les Gouffres de Busserailles” and the Breuil (way that for today’s outdoor fan is a “Mountain Fitness Path”).
